- We personally research, plan and lead all of our trips. Each of our guests and each trip we run are very important to us. Jennifer takes care of all the guest correspondence and trip development and planning. David leads almost all of our trips himself, along with a local guide and/or driver as needed. No other company has such a personal relationship with their guests and trips. We have a few trips that are lead by some other great guides who are good friends of ours and who love to lead trips in the style that we like to.
- We love Mexico! Having lived in Mexico since 1994, we have an in-depth knowledge and appreciation of the culture, the history and the diversity of this country. Everywhere we travel, we look for birds and enjoy the natural environment, but we also take the time to give our guests a more complete experience in Mexico…a visit to the local market, historic building, ruins, church or town plaza. Viva Mexico!
- Beyond Mexico, we have chosen places to run trips that speak to us and have a lot to offer to our guests. We enjoy exploring this world and sharing our discoveries with our guests.
- Hablamos español! We both speak fluent Spanish, which we believe is imperative to leading good trips in Mexico.
- It's your vacation. We make sure that the pace of our trips and the way we run them are fun and enjoyable. Although we work hard to see all the birds and make the most of our days, we also recognize that this is your vacation!
- Solipaso enjoys great personal relationships with all of our subcontractors, from the hotels and restaurants, to local guides and drivers. We have spent years seeking out the best people and places, and we have cultivated these relationships over the years.
- Wherever possible, we seek out local bird guides to promote avi-tourism and to add an even more local flavor to our trips.
- Because of our reputation in Mexico, we are proud to work as guides and sub-contractors for several other US and UK based tour companies.
- We are First Aid/CPR certified on an ongoing basis.
- Solipaso is a proud member of the Tucson Audubon Birds and Business Alliance.
- In Alamos, we are proud to have been involved with the local bird guide training program that was organized by the Sonoran Joint Venture and Pronatura Noroeste. From this guide training program, several local people have became proficient birders and bird guides and Solipaso continues to provide them with work.
- Solipaso collaborates with Nature and Culture International to support their Mexico program and Reserva Monte Mojino and Parque La Colorada.
- We like to have fun wherever we are, eat great food, stay and nice hotels and enjoy the company of others!
